The Partners of PEAL Capital (“PEAL”) are pleased to announce the authorisation of a private equity fund as an Investment Limited Partnership ("ILP") under the Central Bank of Ireland. The Fund has completed an initial close and is finalising its first deal which is expected to close in Q1 2022. The fund target is anticipated to be $300 million.

PEAL was founded by Karen O’Mahony in 2014 and we are proud to be led by an all female Partner Group. In addition to Ms O’Mahony, the Firm is further managed by Tara Mandal, Partner & Head of Ireland. Ms Mandal was most recently Chief Risk Officer for JP Morgan Suisse, just one of the senior roles she held during her 23-year tenure.

PEAL’s diligent and pro-active approach is supported by a team of 6 senior investment professionals, 4 non-executive board members and a global executive network of 14 industry leaders across Europe and North America that combines a wealth of experience with the patience to work through any problem and source the right solutions

PEAL Partner & Head of Ireland, Ms Tara Mandal commented, “The new ILP regime was introduced in December 2020 and we were keen to act as a test case. On the 13th December 2021, we were one of the first Private Equity Funds to be authorised under this new process. We would like to thank the Central Bank Ireland, McCann FitzGerald, Waystone and SEI for their industrious activity and guidance through the fund formation process.”
